Ferry Woes

BC Ferries has been plagued by a summer of mechanical breakdowns and we long suffering Bowen Islanders have quietly put up with all the inconvenience that has meant for us. However, now that the tourist season is over, and we are expecting to "get our island back", we have been required to endure a series of overloads on most busy ferry sailings in the past week. There has been no explanation given by the BC Ferries Corp. for this frustrating situation and it shows no sign of improving. High schools students left off the ferryy, 60 car overloads on morning commuter sailings, having to arrive at 6:30 to get on the 7:30...there I'm starting to feel better.
